Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for å installere en dobbelt avsluttet, distribuert avfølingsoptisk fibersammenstilling (2) med et føringsledningsrør (1), for eksempel en styreledning med liten diameter i en undergrunn i et undergrunnsborehull omfatter: tilveiebringe en neseseksjon (3) med en utvendig bredde (W) som er mindre enn I cm og fortrinnsvis mindre enn 5 mm, idet neseseksjonen (3) kopler sammen de proksimale ender (4C og 4D) av to seksjoner (4A og 413) av en distribuert avfølingsoptisk kabel, slik at lys overført langsetter en seksjon av den fiberoptiske kabel (4A) blir overført via neseseksjonen (3) til den andre seksjon (4B) av den fiberoptiske kabel, sette inn neseseksjonen (3) inn i føringsledningsrøret (1), slik at neseseksjonen (3) beveges gjennom føringsrøret (1) foran de to seksjoner (4A og 413) av den destruerte avfølingsfiberoptiske kabel som er sammenkoplet derved, og forbinde de distale ender (4E og 417) av seksjonene av den distribuerte avfølingsfiberoptiske kabel til en lysoverførende og mottakende enhet (7) som er konfigurert for å omdanne lysspektra tilbakesendt fra forskjellige punkter av den fiberoptiske kabel til distribuerte temperatur-, trykk- og/eller andre fysiske data.
