Abstract

De foretrukne systemer og angitte fremgangsmåter er også i stand til å detektere hendelser samt fremvisning av disse samt varsling av borepersonalet om disse påviste hendelser samt også å antyde korrigerende tiltak.A method and equipment are provided for automatically detecting the condition of a drilling rig during the process of drilling a borehole. Two or more, but preferably four mutually independent input channels are used to receive information, and each input data channel then indicates a series of measurements performed over time during the drilling process. Based on input channels, the most likely state of the drilling rig is detected based on at least three possible drilling conditions. The detection method is preferably probability-based and even more preferably based on particle filtration techniques. The preferred systems and procedures are also capable of detecting incidents and displaying them as well as alerting drilling personnel to these detected incidents as well as suggesting corrective actions.
