Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for kommunikasjon med en anordning i et borehull. Fremgangsmåten omfatter forhåndsdefinering av et kodingsspråk som omfatter koder som er forståelige for anordningen, hvorved kodene er representert i språket som forhåndsdefinerte verdikombinasjoner av borestrengsrotasjonsvariabler, så som rotasjonshastighet eller varighet. Fremgangsmåten omfatter dessuten rotering av en boresfreng med en første og andre hastighet, og måling av rotasjonshastighetene nede i borehullet. Den første målte rotasjonshastighet bearbeides nede i borehullet i kombinasjon med den andre målte rotasjonshastighet for å frembringe en kode i språket i anordningen i borehullet.
