Abstract

SAMMENDRAG En fremgangsmåte for bestemmelse av en vertikal komponent av partikkelhastighet, ut fra seismiske data som oppfanges ved bruk av minst én mottaker anbrakt i en vannsøyle, omfatter å bestemme partikkel-hastighetens vertikale komponent fra trykket ved en første posisjon og en andre posisjon. Den første posisjonen er posisjonen for en første mottaker og ligger vertikalt under den andre posisjonen. Fremgangsmåten benytter en operator som er nøyaktig for seismiske data som oppfanges med en vertikal atskillelse mellom den første og den andre posisjonen på opp til minst 0.4 ganger den minste bølgelengden for seismisk energi benyttet for å innhente de seismiske data. Den andre posisjonen kan være ved eller over vannsøylens overflate. Alternativt kan fremgangsmåten anvendes på et seismisk undersøkelsesarrangement med to hydrofonkabler, hvor den andre posisjonen ligger under vannsøylens overflate, og er posisjonen for en andre mottaker.
