Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for å generere modeller med hvilke en kan karakterisere utvalgte aspekter av den metabolske fenotypen for subjekter uten å dosere en testsubstans til disse subjektene eller med hvilke en kan predikere, uten dosering, post-dose responsene for subjekter hvor disse responsene er avhengig av metabolsk fenotype, hvor fremgangsmåten omfatter: oppnå pre-dose data som relaterer til en pluralitet av subjekter før dosering med en doseringssubstans; oppnå post-dose data som relaterer til pluraliteten av subjekter etter dosering med doseringssubstansen; og korrelere inter-subjektvariasjon i pre-dose dataene med inter-subjektvariasjon i post-dose-dataene, og generere en pre-til-post dose prediktiv modell på grunnlag av den observerte korrelasjonen. Modellene kan anvendes for å bestemme utvalgte aspekter av den metabolske fenotypen for et subjekt eller for å predikere, uten dosering, post-dose responsene for subjekter. Dette oppnås ved å analysere data som relaterer til det ikke-doserte subjektet i relasjon til en modell som beskriver korrelasjonen av pre-dose og post-dose-data som relaterer til en pluralitet av subjekter når dosert med en bestemt substans som provoserer den biokjemiske omdanningen eller overføringsbanen ("pathway) av interesse; og generere, i henhold til de prebestemte kriteriene for modellen, et numerisk mål eller klassifikasjon som beskiver den metabolske fenotypen av/for det ikke-doserte subjektet.
