Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelse søker å muliggjøre adaptiv hastighetskontroll, ARC, i et pakkebasert nettverk, idet ARC også er tilpasset kravene for en spesifikk applikasjon. I henhold til oppfinnelsen omfatter et arrangement for adaptiv hastighetskontroll av en forbindelse mellom en avsender og en mottaker i et pakkesvitsjet datanettverk, det følgende: Et generisk kontrollorgan for å utføre adaptiv hastighetskontroll i henhold til en generisk algoritme, idet nevnte arrangement er karakterisert ved i det minste én applikasjonsspesifikk kontrollanordning, idet nevnte applikasjonsspesifikke kontrollanordning er arrangert for å kontrollere funksjonen for det generiske kontrollorgan i avhengighet av karakteristikkene for applikasjonen.
