Abstract
Det er beskrevet en anordning og et system for måling på stedet av brønnhullsfluidstrømning ved bruk av dopplerfrekvens-skift/faseskift-teknikker. Først blir en basislydhastighet bestemt så nær målepunktet som mulig. Denne lydhastighetsmålingen blir så brukt i dopplerberegninger for å bestemme fluidhastigheter basert på indusert dopplerforskyvning som et resultat av fluidstrømning. Et heterodyn-mottakerarrangement blir fortrinnsvis brukt til behandling, slik at strømningsretningen kan bestemmes og deteksjonsfølsomheten for lave strømningshastigheter kan forbedres. Fra målingene på stedet kan brønnspark oppdages og tas hånd om i sann tid. l tillegg kan nåværende teoretiske modeller over reologiske egenskaper verifiseres og utvikles ved bruk av brønnhullsmåleteknikker på stedet med strømningshastighets- eller hastighetsprofil-sensorer (13a, 13b, 13c og 13d) i en borestreng (8). Videre kan de her beskrevne hastighetsmålingene brukes til å gjenkjenne tapt brønnhullssirkulasjon og/eller gass/vann/olje-innstrømning så tidlig som mulig, selv når slamresirkulasjonspumpene (16) er slått av.
