Abstract
The PIR device has a first optical system for detection of movements in a far region and a second system for detection of movements in a near region. The two regions are adjoining without being overlapping. The movement indicator has a plastic mounting (35) for detection circuit boards (36) on which infrared detectors (34, 37) of the two systems are mounted. A shield (38), integral with the mounting, acts to ensure that the two detection regions do not overlap and that the detectors only detect radiation from the appropriate detection region.
