Abstract

Two or more units of such apparatus may be used in tandem to extend the fluidization period of a particular area of the seabed. This is particularly useful when the pipes or cables are relatively rigid. The fluidization period depends on the distance between the units and is calculated as a function of the characteristics of the seabed and the capacity of the individual units. The distance between the units is determined by the length of an adjustable link.
