Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelse tilveiebringer en. fremgangsmåte for prosessering av konvertert bølgedata til tolkbare bilder ved bruk av en kompakt toparametermodell. Fremgangsmåten omfatter stort sett trinnene: å samle inn både P-bølge og konvertert bølge seismiske data, å identi-fisere ankomsttidene av P-bølge og konvertert bølge data, å beregne det vertikale hastighets forhold fra ankomsttidsda-taene, å beregne utflyttingshastighetsforholdet fra de kor-responderende utflyttingshastigheter, å beregne det effektive hastighetsforhold fra det vertikale hastighetsforhold og utflyttingshastighetsforholdet, å beregne konverterings-punktet fra P-bølge utflyttingshastigheten med kort utlegg for hver reflektor, fra det effektive hastighets forhold, C-bølge utflyttingshastighetsforholdet og ankomsttid sela"-tåene.
