At the same time, it relates especially to an osteosynthesis helping device for femoral neck fractures, comprising a medullary pin (3) for the proximal region (A) of the femoral bone, a connection provided on its outer end for an osteosynthesis plate, and an osteosynthesis plate having bores for the reception of bone screws (6, 2), one set of bone screws (6) serving to fix the osteosynthesis plate on the femur and the other set of bone screws (2) serving to connect the osteosynthesis plate (4) to the neck of the femur, and, furthermore, the bores having a transversal spacing which is larger than the diameter of the medullary pin (3). It is also possible to fix an osteosynthesis plate to the head of the humerus by means of screws to which a medullary pin can be firmly connected. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to an osteosynthesis aid according to the introduction to claim 1.

In US-PS 47 33 654 a special osteosynthesis aid is proposed for keeping the femoral neck and the upper femoral head still, whereby a further nail part is fixable in the proximal area of the medullary nail, which has a hole for receiving a particularly long bone screw ( leg screw). The osteosynthesis plate is shaped like an L and engages with its short upper obliquely protruding leg into this outer part of the medullary nail. This osteosynthesis aid thus forces, due to the present hole in the medullary nail and in the additional construction part, fixed screw directions, i.e. that the placement and direction of the screw is not variable.

European patent application 347 874 describes a device for connecting a bone that has been fractured, particularly in the area of the femoral neck, but this publication does not describe an osteosynthesis aid in connection with a marrow nail.

I europeisk patentsøknad 251 583 fremstilles i fig. 5 et lårhalsbrudd som stabiliseres over en margnagle 9, men det anvendes heller ikke her noen osteosyntese-plate som ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelsen. In European patent application 251 583, fig. 5 a femoral neck fracture which is stabilized over a marrow nail 9, but no osteosynthesis plate is used here either, as according to the present invention.

In German specification 31 14 136, an osteosynthesis plate is described, but this is not connected to a marrow nail as in the present solution.

It is the task of the invention to provide a mechanism that provides better securing of the osteosynthesis plate by allowing the direction of the screw to be chosen freely, so that with the simplest aids a sufficient anchoring and retention of the femoral neck can be achieved, and the large roller brace is retained through the osteosynthesis plate .

Denne oppfinnelsens grunnleggende oppgave blir løst gjennom læren i hovedkravet. The basic task of this invention is solved by the teachings of the main claim.

Fordelaktige utførelser er beskrevet i underkravene. Advantageous designs are described in the sub-claims.

Expressed in other words, it is proposed that in the case of a pertrochanteric fracture of the upper femoral neck in the proximal area of the upper femoral neck, a marrow nail is inserted which extends to the large roller hoop, and which at its upper end exhibits a - for example as a screw in the proximal end of marrow nail - designed attachment device for an osteosynthesis plate. The osteosynthesis plate has many holes for receiving bone screws, as the transverse distance for the holes is greater than the diameter of the spinal nails, so that the screw direction is not predetermined due to corresponding reception holes in the spinal nail. Through this, the holes can be positioned so that the screws that are inserted into it are passed on both sides of the spinal nail and are led to the upper femoral neck head, whereby the direction of the screw is free of choice.

This achieves a more secure fixing of the femoral neck and of the upper femoral neck bone in the proximal area of the upper femoral neck head, whereby this more secure fixing is essentially achievable with the current common instruments.

Furthermore, according to the invention, it is proposed that the device is also used in the case of a fracture of the upper arm in the area of the humeral head according to the invention, as the medullary nail has such a length that it extends from the humeral head into the humerus.

Tegningene viser i Exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated with the help of the attached drawings. The drawings show i

fig. 1 is a partial view of the proximal end of an upper femur, i

fig. 2 et snitt ifølge linjen 2-2 i fig. 1, og i fig. 2 a section according to line 2-2 in fig. 1, and i

fig. 3 et overarmsben med osteosyntese-hjelpemiddel. I fig. 3 a humerus with an osteosynthesis aid. In fig. 1, A denotes an upper femur, B the femoral neck and C the upper femoral head. At the proximal end of the upper femur A, a marrow nail 3 is inserted, which at its outer upper end exhibits a threaded connection 1, with which the connection of an osteosynthesis plate 4 to the marrow nail 3 is possible. The osteosynthesis plate 4 has several holes 5, through which the long bone screws 2 and short bone screws 6 can be inserted. The short bone screws 6 thereby fasten the osteosynthesis plate 4 on the upper femur A, while the long bone screws 2 are inserted into the upper femoral head C and thus secure this area on the upper femur.

As is clearly shown in fig. 1, and as fig. 2 also clearly shows, the bore 5 is arranged in such a way to receive screws 2 and 6, that the inserted screws extend on both sides of the inserted marrow nails 3 and are thus led to the upper femoral head. As a result, no direct connection with the core rivet is necessary, so that complicated rivet constructions are avoided.

In the embodiment according to fig. 3, an upper humerus part is described with a humerus head D and a humerus bone E. At the humerus head D, an osteosynthesis plate 4a is attached, showing the holes 5a for receiving the fixing screw. Furthermore, a medullary nail 3a can be firmly connected to this osteosynthesis plate 4a, so that the position of these medullary nails is maintained through the osteosynthesis plate attached to the head of the upper arm.
