Description
Spenekopphylse. Teat cup sleeve.
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår spene-kopphylser for melkemaskinanlegg. The present invention relates to teat cup sleeves for milking machine systems.
In milking machine systems, it is important that the teat cups, including the branch pipe with hoses, have a suitable weight for each animal, so that the teat cups and accessories during milking, and especially during the last part of this, exert a stretch on the teats, because the animal then gives up the milk more easily. In recent years, quite a number of different branch pipes with different absolute weights have come into use, which has resulted in the combined weight of teat cups, branch pipes and hoses varying greatly to the detriment of the desired stretch in the teats during milking. The need for this stretching effect in the teats during milking is also variable. If, for example, the front teats sit higher than the rear ones, they require a different stretching effect, and this is tried to be regulated by providing the right tension during milking by displacing the milking machine pan, so that the hoses from this exert a correct stretching effect in the different teats. Some animal herds require a certain weight of the teat cups with accessories, which weight is considered to have a beneficial effect on milking, while other animal herds require a different weight, which may be due to the fact that animals of different breeds and sizes are heavy- or light-milky, or have different udder position. Until now, teat cups with a certain unexperimented average weight have been used, which have been used in connection with all manifolds and for all herds, because for practical reasons
Dette er nu ikke lenger til-felle. reasons have not been able to vary the weight of the teat cups. This is now no longer the case.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a teat cup which can be varied within wide limits in a simple way with respect to the weight and compensates for the lighter manifolds. The invention is primarily characterized in that the teat cup sleeve is provided with a closed cavity placed in the sleeve wall, in which cavity a weight is suitably placed. The cavity suitably has an opening underneath, which can be closed with a tight-fitting lid, after the weight has been placed in the cavity. The lid and the opening are conveniently placed at one end of the teat cup sleeve, as this will facilitate the introduction of the weight body. The cavity in the sleeve wall advantageously extends around the whole, or at least around the majority of the sleeve's circumference, and likewise along the majority of the sleeve's axial length, whereby one gets the opportunity to distribute the weight of the introduced weighing body symmetrically in relation to the sleeve, and without increasing the sleeve's outer diameter, this can be maintained essentially constant along most of the sleeve's length, and still accommodate the greatest possible weight in the cavity.
1 viser spenekopphylsen i lengdesnitt, fig. 1. An embodiment of the teat cup sleeve according to the invention is illustrated in the attached drawing, where fig. 1 shows the teat cup sleeve in longitudinal section, fig. 2 in an end view and fig. 3 in a section along the line III—III in fig. 1.
The teat cup sleeve shown in the drawing consists of a cylindrical tube 1, which is open at both ends and provided with a constriction 2 at one end. The opening of the constriction is denoted by 3. 4 is a spout or a connecting pipe, to which a hose from a pulsator must be connected in the manner commonly known for teat cups. A cavity 5 is arranged in the wall of the teat cup sleeve, which in the example shown in the drawing is filled with a weight or a body 6, which is introduced into the cavity. The cavity 5 can extend around the entire circumference of the sleeve, or, as shown, only around the majority of it. In the axial direction of the sleeve, the cavity 5 can extend along only a smaller part of the length of the sleeve, or as shown along the greater part of the axial length. The cavity is closed with a lid 7, which liquid-tightly closes the cavity's opening 8. The opening 8 and the lid are annular, or mainly annular, and are located at one end of the teat cup, conveniently the end which is provided with the constriction 2. After one has decided on the size of the weight 2, a body corresponding to the weight is introduced into the cavity, and the lid is fixed firmly and liquid-tight, so that no liquid can penetrate into the cavity during the cleaning of the teat cup sleeve.
The inserted weight 6 can be made of lead or any other metal, as the weight, due to its insulated position or enclosed position, is not affected by air or liquids that come into contact with the teat cup.
