Description
Børsteholder for elektriske maskiner. Brush holder for electric machines.
The invention relates to a pressure device for brush holders, in which, in order to achieve better brush utilization, abnormally high brushes with head depth, preferably twin brushes, are used.
In the case of brush holders with pressure weight bar for transferring the pressure on the brush, an equalization is normally achieved between the circular path of the pressure finger and the brush which is guided in a straight line in the holder box, by a corresponding displacement of the pressure piece on the smooth brush head. In the case of twin brushes, the pressure piece rests in a recess in the brush head to achieve even pressure on both brush parts. The balance between the circular path and the rectilinearly guided brush is to be achieved here by a yielding holder for the pressure finger in the pressure weight rod. However, with rubber damping joints, which are preferably used here, noticeable pressure finger lateral forces occur, which adversely affect both the pressure course and the pressure and thus prevent uniform wear of the brush parts. It follows that in such a type of holder, only brushes with a relatively small height can be used. The labile storage of the pressure finger in rubber cannot be considered an ideal solution either, particularly in track operation.
Better results, even with 65 mm high brushes, are obtained by using a contact sleeve or pressure piece, which rests loosely in a recess or in a V-shaped notch on the head of a twin brush and which is pressed with a pressure finger as for to compensate for the road differences can shift on the pressure piece. Disadvantageous here is the necessary deep recess of both brush guide walls, as these are thereby exposed to greater wear and tear, and that the rubber damping element is placed on the contact sleeve resting on the brush head, i.e. in the zone of the strongest heating. With the strong heat stress, the lifespan of the damping rubber is significantly shortened. Furthermore, the operation of the holder, in that the contact sleeve is placed loosely and easily displaceable on the push-weight rod, in the mostly narrow commutator space, is difficult.
Furthermore, it is proposed to compensate for the path difference between the brush and pressure finger by arranging a control arm between the holder box and the pressure weight rod. In the case of an indentation in the brush head, the pressure piece is guided in the brush axis. The compensation of the circular lever path takes place by a corresponding setting of the control arm. Unfortunate with this design are the equally occurring pressure finger side forces and the unfavorable kinematics which cause a strong pressure drop during brush wear. In addition, this construction requires relatively long protruding weight rods, so the brush holder requires a lot of space between the collector and the mantle.
With the invention, these defects are removed by arranging a push-weight rod on a control arm, which is only freely rotatable in part of the brush wear and which in the last part of the wear lies against a device on the holder body, so that the push-weight rod then continues to work with stationary lever pivot point. In the first part of the brush wear, the side forces are canceled out by a counter-rotating moment which is produced by the special position of the spring suspension point. However, since this moment is not sufficient to balance the side forces during the entire brush wear, which become particularly strong towards the end, according to the invention the control arm is held by a device so that the pressure weight rod during the last part of the brush wear works with a fixed weight rod pivot point. The pressure finger below describes a circular path, which, however, due to its short length practically coincides with the rectilinear brush axis. The small compensation that may still be necessary is effected by a damping part placed between the pressure finger and the weight bar, so that even the worn-out brush is practically free from lateral forces. In the drawing, an embodiment of the object of the invention is shown.
The twin brush 2 carried in the holder body 1 is pressed by a tension spring 3 through the weight bar 4 with the pressure finger 5 and the pressure piece 6, which rests in a recess in the brush head, against the commutator 10. The difference in path between the circular path of the pressure piece 6 and the straight led brush 2 is balanced in the area AB by a control arm 8, which is arranged between the weight bar 4 and the holder body 1.
In position B, control arm 8 rests against a device 11 on the holder body and remains motionless for the remaining area BC due to wear. Here, the path difference, which only amounts to a few tenths of a millimetre, is canceled out by an elastic, vibration-damping part 9 between the weight bar and pressure finger.
Den vibrasjonsdempende del 9 består av en flat hylse av et mykt elastisk mate- The vibration dampening part 9 consists of a flat sleeve of a soft elastic mat-
riale, fortrinsvis plast, som omgir et tverr-stykke øverst på vektstangen 4 og er fast lagret i en til hylsens ytre form svarende uttagning i den bakre ende av trykkfingeren 5. rial, preferably plastic, which surrounds a cross-piece at the top of the barbell 4 and is fixedly stored in a recess corresponding to the outer shape of the sleeve at the rear end of the pressure finger 5.
