Oppfinnelsen angår et veihovlskjær med en stålskinne som The invention relates to a road grader with a steel rail which
har en mot kjorebanen vendende sliteflate og,to langsgående bred- has a tread facing the roadway and two longitudinally wide
sider grensende til denne. pages adjacent to this one.
A disadvantage of previously known road graders of this type is that the wear surface during use partly wears down quickly, partly loses its sharpness, so its ability to penetrate the road material is reduced.
A primary purpose of the invention is therefore to give a road leveling blade of the aforementioned type better wear resistance and a relatively sharp edge in the boundary line between the front of the blade and the wear surface facing the carriageway so that the blade becomes more durable and better able to penetrate the road material.
;Fig. 4 viser hvorledes beleggene alternativt kan påfores ;i uttagninger i bredsidene. Fig. 6 viser på samme måte hvorledes veihovlskjæret på fig. ;Fig. 2 viser skjæret 1 i snitt. Prosentverdiene betegner her likedan som i teksten forovrig vektprosent. ;For å holde kanten K mellom den forovervendende bredside ;og sliteflaten 7 skarp og for å forhindre at de partier 14- og 14<*>Furthermore, it is previously known to equip wear rails* for snow plows with cemented carbide reinforcements in the wear surface of the rail facing the roadway. Attempts have also been made in a similar way to reinforce shears which are mainly intended for scraping road surfaces. It has, however, been shown in these experiments that cemented carbide inserted into the tendon quickly loosens so that road surface shears shaped as reinforcements have not yet gained any greater practical significance. One purpose of the present invention is therefore also to produce a carbide-reinforced road grader with a significantly longer service life than what has previously been achieved. The solution to this problem in accordance with the invention is based on the view that the carbide inserts in previously proposed road graders have loosened significantly for the reason that scraped-up road mass has worn down the steel material surrounding the inserts, especially the material in front of them in the direction of travel, so the inserts were exposed and thus easily knocked out by stones, manhole covers and other protrusions in the carriageway. According to the invention, these and other purposes can be achieved by at least a part of the wide side that is to face forward in the direction of travel is provided with a wear protection which./covers the surface, at the same time as the said part is limited downwards by the edge line between the wear edge and said broadside. According to one embodiment of the invention, the wear layer is produced by nitriding. Using this method, a layer with very high hardness is quickly obtained in a relatively simple way and - in the case of large series - at relatively low costs. Other embodiments of shears according to the invention are based on different coating methods. With these, you can have greater freedom of choice when it comes to the wear layer's thickness and composition, and thus achieve tougher and thus more durable wear layers than with nitriding. As a method for uniting the coating material with the steel rail, one or other of the methods welding, flame spraying, brazing, vulcanisation, gluing or the like or combinations of these can be chosen. In this context, welding on is understood as applying additional material to a surface during welding, i.e. energy input in the form of local heating at least to the base material's liquidus temperature, by plastic local flow or by atomic diffusion. The term welding here also includes the application of powder which is then melted by heating. Flame spraying refers to methods where an additive material is melted in a heat source of gas and then sprayed onto a surface in the form of a metallic or ceramic layer. ;By brazing is meant the connection of two parts by melting a non-ferrous alloy with a melting point that exceeds 400°C, but is lower than the melting points of the parts to be joined. The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a grader blade attached to a grader blade and seen from the end. Fig. 2 shows a cross-section of a road grader blade provided with carbide inserts according to fig. 1 and illustrates how the blade is provided with a wear layer according to the invention produced by nitriding or other form of surface hardening. Fig. 3 shows in a similar way a blade provided with a coating on each broad side. Fig. 4 shows how the coatings can alternatively be applied in recesses in the broad sides. Fig. 5 shows a partial cross-section of a road grader blade which is attached to a road grader blade and is not provided with hard metal, but with a wear layer according to the invention produced by surface hardening. Fig. 6 shows in the same way how the road profile shear in fig. 5 is instead provided with one coating on the side facing the direction of travel, and fig. 7 shows how the cut is instead provided with a coating in the form of inserts placed in recesses in the steel rail. ; On fig. 1 designates 1 a grader blade, 2 a grader blade and 3 a screw connection for mounting the blade 1 on the blade 2. The grader blade 1 in this design is completely symmetrical with respect to a central plane S. The grader blade 2 has a flat contact surface 4, and the grader edge 1 similarly has a planar chamfer^5 which rests against the surface 4. As the cutting edge is symmetrical and therefore also has another, identical chamfer 5' on its other side, it can easily be turned and thus worn on both sides . Fig. 2 shows the cut 1 in section. 6 generally denotes the main body of the road hbvl shear, which is made of a steel rail. According to the embodiment, this consists of a steel grade with an alloy composition of 0.37% carbon, 1.0% silicon, 0.40% manganese, 5.3% chromium, 1.4% molybdenum, 1.0% vanadium, the rest iron and pollutants. The percentage values denote here, as in the rest of the text, percentage by weight. The road surface cutting edge 1 has a wear surface 7 on the edge facing the carriageway, two broad sides 8 and 9 and a back surface 10. 15 denotes a through hole which is formed in the cutting edge and has a square cross-section, and which accommodates a bolt of a similar shape in the screw lining -the bond 3, while 16 and l6" denote recesses for the bolt heads. ;In the lower part of the cutter, i.e. in the area of the wear edge surface ;7, a groove 17 is milled into the rail 6. In the groove 17, a number of inserts 11 of cemented carbide or other material with similar wear resistance are mounted. The groove 17 preferably extends over the entire length of the cutting edge 11, and the inserts 11 sit close together so that they fill the entire groove. The inserts are held in slot 17 by hard soldering. ;To keep the edge K between the forward-facing wide side ;and the wear surface 7 sharp and to prevent the parts 14- and 14<*>
Beskyttelsesskiktene 22 .og 23 har i utforelsesformen en tykkelse av 0,05 ~ 1,5 Tmt fortrinnsvis 0,05 ~which flank the cemented carbide inserts 11, are quickly worn down during the use of the road leveling steel, the broadside rafts 8 and 9 are provided with thin protective wear layers 22 and 23, as well as, depending on the manufacturing technique, also other surfaces of the steel rail 6, in the case of surface hardening, preferably nitriding. In the embodiment, the protective layers 22 and 23 have a thickness of 0.05 ~ 1.5 Tmt, preferably 0.05 ~
0,5 mm og mest hensiktsmessig ca. 0,2 mm. En passende overflatehårdhet for beskyttelsesskiktene 22 og 23 er 1100 - 1400 HV (Vickers-hårdhet), hensiktsmessig 1250 HV, ved en hårdhet i hovedparten av stålskinnen 6 på ca. 40 HRC (Rockwell C-hårdhet) svarende til ca. 0.5 mm and most appropriate approx. 0.2 mm. A suitable surface hardness for the protective layers 22 and 23 is 1100 - 1400 HV (Vickers hardness), suitably 1250 HV, at a hardness in the main part of the steel rail 6 of approx. 40 HRC (Rockwell C hardness) corresponding to approx.
400 HV. The main body 6 should have a hardness between 300 and 600 HV, preferably between 350 °S 500 HV.
Veihovlskjæret 1 fremstilles i eksempelet på folgende The road surface cutter 1 is produced in the following example
After hot rolling, annealing, straightening and surface treatment of the steel rail, the groove 17 is milled, the square hole 15 is punched and the recesses 16 and l6<f> are drilled. The chamfers 5 °S 5r are preferably produced in connection with hot rolling, although it is of course also conceivable to produce them by honing or other cutting processing.
For nitrerherdningen slipes eller sandblåses bredsidene 8 og 9, hvorefter skjæret The thus prepared steel rail 6 is now hardened by austenitizing treatment at 1050<0> C and quenching in oil, after which the rail is annealed at 600° C, so that it has a hardness of approx. 47 HRC. The carbide inserts 11 are then soldered firmly in the groove 17 by brazing with solar solder, soldering temperature 600° C. The hardness close to the groove 17 then drops to around 45 4-6 HRC. For the nitriding, the broad sides 8 and 9 are ground or sandblasted, after which the edge
ytterligere herdes i ammoniakkgass ved 525° C i 30 t, Herved fås overflateskiktene 22 og 23 med overflatehårdhet omtrent 1250 HB further cured in ammonia gas at 525° C for 30 h. This results in surface layers 22 and 23 with a surface hardness of approximately 1250 HB
The nitriding depth is approx. 0.2 mm. In connection with nitride hardening, the hardness in the main body of the blade drops to approx.
40 HRC, svarende til ca. 400 HV". 40 HRC, corresponding to approx. 400 HP".
In the embodiment example in fig. 3, the broad sides 8 and 9 are provided with protective wear layers 32 and 33. These layers are made of a coating consisting of an additive material with very high wear resistance and are connected to the base material in the steel rail 6 in the area of the lower parts of the broad sides 8 and 9 - However, also in and of itself conceivable to coat the entire broadsides 8 and 9, although this is not normally necessary.
In this example, more low-alloy steel than what is appropriate in the first example can also be considered as the base material. Table 1 shows two conceivable steel compositions.
Covers 32 and 33 in fig. 3 is placed in the example by welding on an additive material with very high hardness and durability against wear. A suitable additive material consists of 60% by weight of tungsten carbides encapsulated in a rod-shaped wire of tough steel. Normally occurring welding methods are conceivable for the application of the additive material. The coatings 32, 33 are applied to a thickness of 1 - 4 mm, suitably approx. 2 mm. The hot-rolled rail 6 is cleaned before welding, provided with a groove 17 and hardened after welding by austenitizing, quenching and tempering and finally provided with bolt holes 15 and inserts 11.
The additive material can also be in powder form, and the base material in the steel rail 6 can then have one or another of the compositions according to table 1. The powdered additive material can have one of the compositions according to table 2 (indicative values, weight %).
Blant materialene i tabell 2 velges forst og fremst E, Among the materials in table 2, E is primarily chosen,
Beleggene 32, 33 påfores i en tykkelse av 0,5 - 3 mm, hensiktsmessig as this provides a coating with the highest hardness and wear resistance. The steps in the process are as follows: You start from hot-rolled strips that are cleaned and surface-treated in a known manner to obtain a surface suitable for welding and provided with groove 17. On surfaces 8 and 9, the powder is now sprayed with a spray gun under heat from an oxy-acetylene flame, so the powder is mechanically fixed to the surfaces 8 and 9. The coatings 32, 33 are applied in a thickness of 0.5 - 3 mm, appropriate
2 mm. Only the lower parts of the mentioned surfaces, i.e. the parts in the area for the inserts 11 and up to approx. 5 cm above these,
The rail 6 with the sprayed-on powder is now treated in an oven or flame at 1050 - 1100° C so that the powder melts and bonds with the base material in the rail 6. The rail with the coatings 32, 33 is allowed to cool in air to room temperature (perilithization), after which it is again heated to the austenitizing range, quenched and tempered, after which the holes 15 are finally punched out and the inserts 11 are soldered into the groove 17.
When coating by flame spraying, both wire and powdered additive materials can be used, although the powdered ones offer the best possibilities for achieving very high wear resistance. Appropriate additive materials are flux-forming metal powder materials of the chromium-nickel-cobalt-tungsten carbide type. Before spraying, the surfaces to be coated are cleaned. The coating layers 32, 33 are sprayed on in even layers to a total thickness of 0.5 - 3 n™1, suitably approx. 2 mm.
After spraying, the cutting edge is hardened, annealed and punched out in a conventional manner and provided with carbide inserts 11 in the previously milled groove 17. The rail 6 can have a composition according to table 1.
4, består sliteskiktene av prefabrikerte tynne elementer eller innsatser 42, 43 In the example illustrated in fig. 4, the wear layers consist of prefabricated thin elements or inserts 42, 43
av hårdt og slitesterkt materiale. Hensiktsmessig forbindes innsatsene 42, 43 med grunnmaterialet i skinnen 6 i spor 44, 45 som er freset ut til formålet i flatene 8 og 9 i naboskapet av skinnens of hard and durable material. Appropriately, the inserts 42, 43 are connected to the base material in the rail 6 in grooves 44, 45 which have been milled out for the purpose in the surfaces 8 and 9 in the neighboring cabinet of the rail's
underkant. A suitable thickness of the inserts 42, 43 is 2 - 4 mm. The inserts can consist of hard metal, but preferably inserts made from a steel alloy containing 5 - 20% by weight of titanium carbide are used.
The inserts 42, 43 are appropriately soldered with solar solder at the same time as the hard metal inserts 11 in the wear surface 7, during which a course of the process as described in connection with fig. 2, that is to say that the soldering is carried out after the rail 6 has been surface treated, the grooves 17, 44 and 45 have been milled out and the rail hardened and annealed. The rail 6 can also in this case have a composition according to table 1 or a composition according to the first example. Fig. 5 ~ 7 show road leveling cutters 1" which are not equipped with carbide inserts in the wear edge 7 like the cutters according to figures 1 - 4. The purpose of the invention is thus primarily to ensure a very strong edge K<»> in the limiting line between the wear edge surface 7 and the broad side facing the direction of travel.
Fig. 5 viser et skjær forsynt med et nitrerskikt på Fig. 5 shows a cut provided with a nitriding layer on it
Sliteskiktene på bredsidene er betegnet med 52 og 53. same way as the cut in fig. 2, and also the composition of the steel in the rail can be the same as in this example. The wear layers on the broad sides are designated 52 and 53.
In fig. 6 shows a coating 62 of the same type as the coatings 32 and 33 P& fig. 3. The steel composition can also be the same. Finally, fig. 7 is provided with inserts 72, 73 which are of the same type as in the example in fig. 4 and is placed in recesses 74 and 75 in the steel rail 6.
