Abstract

The invention comprises a clamping device which is part of an accessory which can be fitted on the tow hook of cars. The clamping device is pushed horizontally over the tow hook, and, by simply rotating one vertical bolt with a clamping cup downwards, the ball is clamped securely between the cup and the ring beneath it. The unit is designed in such a way that, when the bolt is tightened, the ball is approximately 3/4 enclosed, with the result that an optimum clamping effect is achieved with the 3 m/m play in the top of the cup and in the bottom of the ring.
