Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the use of bioactive substances such as e.g. Hydroxy lapatite ceramics for strengthening weakened tissue structures, as well as an instrument and a method for the simple and safe administration of corrective substances, in particular for the treatment of urinary incontinence. The weakening of tissue structures, resulting in loss of function, can in some cases be treated by local injection of plastics (e.g. Teflon and silicone) or biopolimers (e.g. Collagen). For example, hoarseness caused by vocal cord relaxation, urinary incontinence caused by pelvic floor muscle relaxation and vesicoureteral reflux by local injection can be treated with Teflon, silicone or collagen. These substances are biocompatible, but not bioactive, which means that they eventually leave the injection site. Teflon and silicone migrate to other organs. Collagen is absorbed. By using bioactive ceramic material, such as triclacium phosphate ceramics (TCP and hydroxylapatite), this disappearance of substances after local injections can be prevented.
The invention relates to the production of a suspension containing bioceramics that can be sprayed by a syringe. For this purpose, a very fine bioceramic granulate (hydroxyapatite) in various volume proportions was mixed with gel-like solutions and suspensions of polymers in water and glycerine and used as injection medium. Various plasma expanders, such as e.g. polyvinylpyrolidone or biopolymers such as e.g. collagen, chitosan and alginates and mixtures of these polymers. The object of this invention is the use of bioceramics by means of a suspension and the realization of a method for a simple and safe injection of said bioceramics suspension, in particular for the treatment of urinary incontinence with the aid of a straightening device, which safe injection.
The invention is explained below with reference to a drawing:
Fig. 1 A tube 1 is equipped with a handle 2 and a clamping screw 3. In the thicker part of the. The handle has a conical bore 4 arranged at an angle. The tube 1 is pushed into the bladder 6 via the urethra 5. The symphysis 7 as well as the vagina 8 and the uterus 9 are indicated in the figure.
Fig. 2 A balloon catheter 10 is inserted through the tube into the. bladder pushed.
Fig. 3 The balloon 11 of the catheter is filled in the usual manner with the aid of a syringe 12.
Fig. The balloon catheter 10 is withdrawn until the balloon 11 rests on the end of the tube 1. The balloon catheter 10 is now fixed in the tube with the aid of the clamping screw 3.
Fig. The tube 1 is pulled out as much as possible, until the ball on 11 rests on the bladder neck.
De ligging van de punt van de venencanule even buiten de blaashals is nu exact bepaald door de ligging van de buis 1.Fig. 6 through the oblique cone 4 of the handle 2, a vein cannula 13 with feed needle 14 suitable for this purpose is inserted as deep as possible. The location of the tip of the vein cannula just outside the bladder neck is now exactly determined by the location of the tube 1.
Fig. 7 After removal of the feed needle, a syringe with a ceramic ceramic suspension 15 is placed on the vein cannula. By injecting the ceramic suspension, the substance 16 is placed between urethral epithelium and sphincter muscles of the bladder outlet.
Fig. 8 Three injection sites are indicated here, which ensure an optimal result of the treatment.
The invention relates to a ceramic suspension, of which only the carrier substance (max. 50%) is absorbed and the proportion of bioceramics remains unaffected over a long period of time. The invention then relates to a straightening device with the aid of which the bioceramics can be applied in a simple and safe manner and in the correct place.
