VERWERKING VAN KUNSTSTOFAFVAL IN ASFALTPROCESSING OF PLASTIC WASTE IN ASPHALT
Mijn uitvinding betreft het verwerken van kunststofafval in asfalt. De zo verkregen mengsel, zie toelichting verderop, van kunststofafval in asfalt heeft betere kwaliteitseigenschappen dan het "traditionele" asfalt.My invention concerns the processing of plastic waste in asphalt. De normen voor samenstelling van asfaltmengsels staan beschreven in "Standaard 1990". Deze normen zijn samengesteld door het Centrum voor Regelgeving en Onderzoek in Grond-, Water- en Wegenbouw en de Verkeerstechniek (CROW) ISBN 90-6628-102-2 (adres: CROW Galvanistraat 1, 6716 AE Ede, 08380-20410). Tevens heeft mijn uitvinding gunstige milieu aspecten, namelijk het nuttig gebruik maken van (kunststof) afval, en het besparen van natuurlijke grondstoffen (bijvoorbeeld zand).The standards for composition of asphalt mixtures are described in "Standard 1990". Doel van mijn uitvinding is dat met de toevoeging van kunststofafval de kwaliteit van asfalt aanzienlijk verbeterd wordt. Door de menging met kunststof worden de korrels van de mineraal aggregaat min of meer op hun plaats gefixeerd.The aim of my invention is that with the addition of plastic waste the quality of asphalt is improved considerably. De kunststofafval bestaat uit recycelbaar kunststof met speciale pictogram van kunststoffabrikanten (Zie nieuwsbrief nummer 1/92 van de Nederlandse Federatie voor Kunststoffen NFK. 070-3175490). De kunststofafval is afkomstig uit huishoudelijkafval, bijvoorbeeld huisvuilzakken, draagtassen, bekers, flessen voor drank en zeep enz.The plastic waste consists of recyclable plastic with a special pictogram from plastic manufacturers (see newsletter number 1/92 of the Dutch Federation for Plastics NFK. 070-3175490). Deze kunststofafval wordt verkleind tot afmetingen tussen 2 en 5 mm.This plastic waste is reduced to dimensions between 2 and 5 mm.
Mijn uitvinding kan worden toegepast in elke vorm van warm bereid asfalt. Bijvoorbeeld in Nederland (zie "Standaard 1990" bladzijde 323 tot 336): Zandasfalt, Grindasfaltbeton (GAB), Steen-slagasfaltbeton (STAB), Openasfaftbeton (OAB), Zeeropenasfaltbeton (ZOAB), Steenmastiekasfalt. Op grond van Marshall-proeven (Zie uitgave nr 2 van Vereniging tot Bevordering van Werken in asfalt.) is een bereidingsmethode vastgesteld. Het kunststofafval moet koud worden toegevoegd, nadat het verwarmde mineraalaggregaat en bitumen 90 s is gemengd. Het totale mengsel dient nogmaals 90 s te worden gemengd.My invention can be applied in any form of hot prepared asphalt.
