Device for planing hollow and convex surfaces.
The invention relates to a mechanically driven planer with which a layer of constant thickness can be planed from both hollow and convex surfaces, without there being any change in shape.
1 - 1 en 2.Planers (manual as well as stationary) may in general be assumed to be known, but they have the drawback that only flat materials can be planed or that non-flat materials can be planed flat (surface of 10 thickness benches, etc.). In the known planers, the thickness of the material to be planed, fig. 1-3, is determined by the difference in height of the guide of the planer before and after the chisel roll, fig. 1 - 1 and 2.
Convex surfaces and concave surfaces cannot be processed with this, because too much material is removed from convex surfaces and no material is removed from hollow surfaces at all.
The object of the invention is to provide a mechanically driven tool and a method which do not have these disadvantages.
2-2.The object is achieved in that the planing depth is adjusted not by means of guides of different heights before, fig. 1 - 1, and after, fig. 1 - 1 and 2, the chisel roller, but by, according to the invention, guiding to be applied at different heights next to the chisel roller. This is achieved by providing the chisel roller on one side with a guide roller with the same diameter of the chisel roller including the chisels protruding there, fig. 2-1, BAD gj ^ Ajto, on the other side a guide roller is used, which 85 0 03 7 5 * -2- has a smaller diameter than the chisel roll including the chisels protruding, fig. 2-2.
3.It follows that the difference in the size of the radius of the two rollers is the material thickness to be scraped, fig. 3.
4.5 By "tracing", whereby the roller with the smallest diameter is guided over the part that has not yet been planed, a perfectly smooth finish is created, fig. 4.
The invention is primarily intended to remove a layer of material from larger hollow or convex surfaces, Fig. 5, which is of equal thickness across the board. However, other applications are also possible.
