Abstract

A moving yarn is introduced by hand into the delivery aperture of a texturising nozzle. It is brought past the aperture to a cutter by means of a mobile suction tube. When the yarn is brought to the immediate vicinity of the delivery aperture it displaces vertically in relation to the nozzle, which is not yet working. After cutting, the yarn is caught in an air current and passes into the aperture, to be led through the nozzle towards the suction device providing the current. Several yarns may be so handled, each fed into an aperture, and led to the common suction device. Drawing rollers supply the uncrimped yarn to a texturising nozzle. The nozzle may pivot through its feed tube held by a support from a texturising posn. (A) to a yarn introduction posn. (B). A pneumatic jack is jointed to the support through its piston rod to the articulation pivot. Simple means are provided for introducing and threading up a moving yarn without the need for any supplementary threading devices of any kind associated with or passing through the texturising nozzle.
