Abstract

A stabilising mechanism is fitted between a tractive vehicle and a trailer, and is fitted with a shock absorber at both ends, coupled by fixture units, resppectively, to the trailer and tractor. One of the fixture units has two parts displaceable relatively to each other in the lengthways direction of the vehicle to which it is attached. The two displaceable parts are formed by an oval cross sectioned pipe (5) with a push bar (6) inserted in it. On the pipe, are clamp hoops for its fixture to the coupling on the tractor and to the draw arm of the trailer.
