Abstract

The earth electrode is inserted into the ground with a driving rod. The earth electrode consists of a metallic clamping wire which is attached around the lower section of the rod in the form of a spiral. A number of the windings are clamped around the lower section of the earth electrode. The lower section of the earth electrode (4) is strip-shaped. It is folded so that it lies up against the lower end of the rod (3), and held in position by the metallic clamping wire or strip (5). The pitch of the clamping wire or strip is greater than the diameter of the rod.
