Abstract

The information board has internal lighting which can be used for traffic and advertising purposes. The message on the board remains clearly legible if the internal lighting system fails. The information carrier is transparent and the transparency at the symbols is different to the transparency immediately adjacent to them. The symbols are produced by retroflecting material with light transmission perforations. The information board consists of a box (1) which contains fluorescent tubes (3). The light transparent plate (5) may be opal glass or an acrylate plate.
