Abstract

ALUMINIUM DISCOIDAL ARMATURE. B7-. Made from a number of uniformly distributed superimposed arrays of stamped out aluminium winding segments, the segments in one array being electrically insulated from those in the next array. Bridging connections interconnect segments to form armature turns of a closed winding which includes at least one series electrical circuit with successive segments (a) in different arrays, and (b) spaced according to the distance between adjacent pole centres of associated stator structure. Commutator brush track includes exposed copper surface on the segment in one array.
