Abstract

The warning and monitoring device has a circuit activated by transverse forces acting on it, being particularly for use in motor vehicles to indicated acceleration, braking and cornering at high speed. The circuit can be set to two different degrees of sensitivity to conditions outside its housing, the condition concerned being the state of a headlamp or windscreen wiper switch, or of both. Thus the device takes account of whether or not the vehicle is being driven at night, or in wet conditions. The selector device for the sensitivity can be operated by a coil inside the housing. The circuit can comprise a number of sloping cells with contacts at the top, and containing liquid conductive material.
