Abstract

The hose clamp is for use in blood transufsion, infusion etc., and has a channel-section housing accommodating the hose, the bottom of which varies in cross-section in the lengthwise direction, while a clamping roller works in this direction in a guide groove. In cross-section, the bottom (3) is symmetrical in relation to the centre line, sloping downwards from the central portion towards the sidewalls (2). This cross-section can be an isosceles trapezium, and in the lengthwise direction the height can decrease while the sides become larger.
