Abstract

The equipment digs trenches in the bed of a sea or river to accommodate pipelines or cables, having on e or more tools fixed to a frame for local removal of the spoil. The frame(12) has a number of gudies(29), working with the pipe or cable(1) already laid and for which the trench is intended, together with stabilisers(15) holding it and the tools(13) in the correct position. The stabilisers can comprise arms(14) extending from the frame and with suports resting on the seabed, their heights being adjustable in relation to the frame.
