Abstract

The process is intended for flowline packing pairs of rectangular tablets (3, 4) partic. sugar cubes, using a strip of packing material (1) wrapped around the cubes, which are supplied in continuous flow. The string of packs (2) has an overlap seal join (5) in longitudinal direction (A) and individual packs are spaced with transverse seal joins (7) between them and sepd. by transverse cuts (6') in the areas (7). The cube pairs are fed-in along parallel lines and are wrapped around in a direction at right angles to the direction of movement (A) whilst lying side by side. The overlap (5) is pref. so arranged that there is an un-interrupted layer of wrapping material on one side of the pack.
