Abstract

The mechanism is for equally dividing objects moving along a passage (1) between two subsequent passages (2a, b). At the end of the feed passage (1) a change-over arm (7) is pivotably (6) arranged whose two limit positions (7a, b) are symmetric relative to the centre line of the passage (1). The arm has two feelers (16a, b) extending into the path of the objects such that, as an object passes, the arm is switched to the other position. The feelers operate in conjunction with controls (15a, b, 12) which admit a pressurised medium to an actuator cylinder (8) coupled to the arm such that the arm is switched over as soon as a passing object has contacted the relevant feeler.
