Abstract

The device blocks the swivel action of a castor wheel, comprises a plate hinged on an horizontal pivot (A) on the trolley frame. Plate has a cut out which is shaped such that, in its downward position, the plate fits over the castor fork end thus preventing swivel motion of the castor without any forces being absorbed by the means for disengaging the plate. Disengagement is effected by lifting the plate without the need for overcoming spring forces or the like.
