Abstract

The partitioning uses uprights of extruded square section, having a longitudinal slot (14) each side. The bottom of the upright is fixed to a floor batten and the top inside a channel on the ceiling. A rectangular strip (4) is inserted into the required slots, one edge protruding. This is used to position the panels (2), these having grooves (9) along the vertical edges. Pins (12) pass through panel and strip to lock them together. Unrequired slots are closed by decorative plastic strips which clip in place. Corners may be constructed by using headed strips in the slots of the uprights, these also being pinned.
