Abstract

The keyboard controls the selection of wavebands in car radios or in other wireless sets, and ensures accurate operation through the coupling between the setting slider and the push-button switch for each waveband. The setting slider (3) is reciprocated lengthwise in a frame (1), and its slots (7) are engaged by an arm of bell cranks (8) pivoted in the frame. The other arm of the bell crank is linked to the waveband changing key (35) moving at right angle to the slide path. Parallel to the setting slider (3) is a reciprocated bar (14) whose projection (15) bears against a lug (54) of the key. The bar is biased by a spring (32) to ensure the contact of the projection with the lug of the key. The latching is ensured by a lever articulated to the key slider for contact with the shiftable part moving along the setting slide.
