Abstract

The mixing valve has a body with cylindrical mixing chamber (3) and with a mixed water outlet and a diametrally opposite outlet (28). Inside the mixing chamber a rotary valve plug (24) operates with a segment surface (12) arranged to block either outlet. Connections (4, 5) for hot and cold water inlet terminate in the chamber. The outlet connection (28) has an insert piece (8) pressed constantly towards the outlet opening (12) by a plate spring (11). The end of the insert piece adjacent to the outlet opening has a groove (19) to accommodate the O-ring (22). The radial section of the groove is wedge-shaped with one of the wedge sides being parallel to the centreline of the outlet.
