Abstract

The mounting supplies moisture to the earth accommodating the roots of a plant, whose pot it supports on a surface provided. It has a holder with openings, extending from below into the earth, accommodating a wick (3) supplying moisture by capillary action. The wick can be a column of mould-proof material of square section, roughly twice the length of the holder (4), in which there are four openings. The corners of the wick, which is a tight fit in the holder, come in contact with the earth via these openings. The supporting surface can have three legs on the underside, so as to accommodate the flowerpot in an ornamental dish.
