Abstract

The heat exchanger is partic. for a central heating system, having a central flue with water passages at opposite sides, connected to each other by passages across the flue. The flue is a one-piece casting, with two opposite upright sidewalls forming on their outer sides part of the water passages. Edge strips (14, 15) extend from the ends of these walls towa*ds each other, forming parts of the front and rear walls. The sidewalls are joined by integral cast water tubes (12, 13), and there is a gap (16, 17) in both front and rear wall, running for its entire height. The gaps can be filled with elastic insulating material.
