Abstract

The protective covering for electrical cables is made of troughs of elastic plastic material which fit together so that the cable does not have to be drawn through, and formed of units which are of identical shape for both the lower trough and the cover. The troughs may be of elliptical form with a cut-away section so that one can be snapped over the other and the two wrap-around with complete closure of the gap in each. A tool for fitting the covers is formed of an iron bar with an eye (5) with a lateral opening (6) and hook (7) just fitting the dimensions of the cover. A second eye (9) permits the two halves of the cover to be drawn together after one end has been put in position by hand.
