Abstract

The ladder is especially designed for use against tall vertical objects such as trees, poles or posts, and comprises two uprights (1, 2) which are arranged to be slightly closer together at the top than at the bottom. The contact between the top of the ladder and the tree is by means of a flexible rung in the form of a rope (3), which is restrained at the ends by means of two hook attachments (15, 16). The base of the ladder is supported by two solid blocks to provide a broad flat surface in contact with the ground. In the centre of the base member is a sharp spike to prevent slippage.
