Abstract

The magnetic or magnetisable board is partic. for use as a blackboard, having a magnetic or magnetisable metal layer on one or both sides and enclosed in cladding. A suitable pattern of lines is formed on the cladding, typically by the screen printing process, using lacquer which is then burnt in by infrared radiation. Alternatively the pattern can be a detachable template, held in place magnetically. It can depict a sports ground, parts of the body, flora and fauna, a map, a traffic situation etc. The symbols can be of reflecting or fluorescent material.
