Abstract

The mechanism is intended for stacking sheets and comprises a conveyor belt moving the sheets in the direction of a table on which the sheets are to be stacked, and levers feeding the sheets on to the belt. The belt is in an air-permeable material and ventilators are provided to create a vacuum and restore normal pressure at the required moments in the space enclosed between the parallel forward and reverse parts of the belt. The feeding levers are so arranged that the sheets are supplied to the upper side of the belt. The drive of the belt may be reversible. The sheets may be supplied at a point between the ends of the belt, pref. half way.
