Abstract

The rectangular cardboard box has a fold line (3) formed in the bottom (1) at one or more corners, forming with the edges of the bottom converging at the corner concerned an equilateral triangle. From the outer edges of the fold line break-open lines (5) extend to a point on the vertical rib at the box corner. Thus a corner piece is formed in the shape of a three-sided pyramid (7) on breakage along the lines and which is then swung through approximately 180 deg. downwards about the fold line to form a support.
