Abstract

A series of toast holders (3, 4) rotate in a frame (10) round a closed track. Heater elements (7) run for at least part of the length of the track, preferably all of its with the exception of the loading and unloading station. The holders can be mounted on supports rotating around a central axis, each comprising a lower dish section on the support, and a hinged upper one spring-loaded against it, clamping the toast between them. The upper dish section can have a lever striking a ramp at the loading and unloading station so as to open it. The electrical heater elements can be mounted above and below the track, working in conjunction with mirrors (8).
