Abstract

The sleeve is in the form of a tub of elastic plastic material (3) accommodating the bent lower end of the flush pipe (2), and with an external flange (4) at the forward end. This fits in the bowl inlet so that the flange bears against the bowl outer wall, and on its outside surface are a number of peripheral sealing ribs (7), bearing against the inner wall (5) of the inlet. On the inside there is a further number of similar ribs (8), bearing against the outside of the flush pipe. The outer ribs can be situated close behind the flange, while the inner ones are at the end of the sleeve furthest from it. The inner ones can be inclined towards the rear end.
