Abstract

The ventilator has an oblong slot for fitting to a T-section bar on the ceiling, and a housing with an oblong air chamber (12). One or more vertical oblong bottom and side walls (20) depend from the chamber side wall, and are bent outwards, forming an oblong air discharge slot. End plates (28) have central recesses to fit over the vertical flange of the T-section bar (32) at the centre. When the ventilator is placed in position, the vertical flange and one of the horizontal ones of the bar are perpendicular to the other parts of the ceiling and thus help to conceal the ventilator operating mechanism.
