Abstract

Instrument for producing radiological photographs of body cross sections. The object (O) is rotated relative to the focus of the Xray tube (R) and the recording medium (S) during the first phase. The radiological image of the rotating object which has been recorded is projected on a surface of a rotating device during a second phase and produces the radiographic cross sectional image. The rotation during the two phases can either be around the same axis or separate axes. It is possible to rotate the object, keeping the Xray tube and the recording system fixed or to rotate the tube and the recorder around the fixed patient. There is also a choice of axes of rotation.
