Abstract

A prepared poultry-packing machine comprises a transport belt carrying grips which attach to the ends of the legs and push the birds via a chute into a stationary held bag so that the bird is pushed to the far end of the bag, after which the clamps detach from the legs and the bagged bird passes for further processing. Overcomes difficulties normally associated with machine packing of poultry, esp. with respect to the legs.
