Abstract

Process comprises (a) transferring by indirect heat exchange, heat of reaction from the reaction zone into a circulating liq. stream comprising cyclohexane and benzene, (b) contacting the heated stream with a H-contg. gas stream for vapourisation of a minor portion of the former stream, (c) charging the resulting vapour, contg. H, benzene and cyclohexane as a reaction mixt., to the reaction zone, (d) circulating the unvapourised portion of the liq. stream for exchange of additional heat of reaction from the reaction zone. The product is recovered from the reaction zone effluent.
