Abstract

The continuous production process forms a number of composite elements each having a core layer of plastics, typically hardened polyurethane. The equipment comprises a feed roller station, a profiler, a bending unit, a conveyor belt and a transport and storage arrangement. The components are produced as quasi-flat sandwich constructions with metallic plate coatings. A typical form is a trapezium shaped unit with alternate units with peg-and-socket type unions. The products are used in building constructions where lightweight is required combined with stiffness.
