Abstract

In an injection moulding machine which has a device for introducing an insert into a hollow mould, a storage device for inserts, a movable carriage (I) for the insert pieces with a support head (II), a first driving mechanism for moving the carriage, a second driving mechanism for moving the head inside the hollow mould, pipes for connecting passages in the head with a vacuum source and a switch mechanism for controlling the movement of the driving mechanism and the vacuum device as in parent patent, the support head (II) can be swung around an axle extending perpendicular to the direction of movement of the carriage (I) independently of the movement of the carriage in and out of the hollow mould. This arrangement enables inserts such as sheets to be placed at a chosen angle against a side wall of the mould.
