Abstract

Even gassing of an autogenically fluidised bed of granular solids and gases produced in the bed from solids or liquids is carried out by feeding to the bed a gas forming material of such varying particle size that the small particles react in the top of the fluidised bed forming a gas, whereas the larger sink and react under gas formation in the centre and bottom of the bed.
