Description

Description
According to a first aspect the present disclosure relates to a modular trampoline frame for suspending a trampoline bed via resilient elements for providing a jump surface.
According to a second aspect the present disclosure relates to a trampoline comprising a modular trampoline frame according to the first aspect of the present disclosure.
According to a third aspect the present disclosure relates to a trampoline support system comprising a plurality of modular trampoline frames according to the first aspect of the present disclosure.
According to a fourth aspect the present disclosure relates to a trampoline system comprising a trampoline support system according to the third aspect of the present disclosure.
A trampoline is a device comprising a trampoline bed that is stretched using a plurality of coiled springs, wherein the coiled springs are attached to a trampoline frame for realising a stretched condition of the trampoline bed. People bounce on trampolines for recreational and competitive purposes. In particular, for recreational purposes relative large trampoline systems comprising several trampoline beds and frames are known. A drawback of these known systems is that it is relative time consuming to realize such a system using known trampoline frames.
The objective of the present disclosure is to provide a modular trampoline frame that allows to realize a trampoline in a relative short time period.
The objective is achieved by the modular trampoline frame according to the present disclosure comprising longitudinal profiles for suspending a trampoline bed via resilient elements for providing a jump surface, wherein a cross-section in a transversal direction of said longitudinal profiles comprises two free ends, wherein said longitudinal profiles comprise a first wall element and a second wall element, wherein said first wall element is connected at a first longitudinal side thereof with said second wall element, wherein said second wall element forms an outer dimension of said modular trampoline frame, said modular trampoline frame further comprising connection elements for connecting said longitudinal profiles. Forming an outer dimension of the trampoline frame by the second wall element is beneficial for allowing multiple trampoline frames to be directly placed next to each other while maintaining a predetermined distance between trampoline beds of neighbouring trampolines.
Longitudinal profiles having a transversal cross-section comprising two free ends is beneficial for providing a relative large flexibility for connecting the longitudinal profiles via the connection elements. By providing two free ends an open profile is provided having for instance a Η, I, T or U-shaped cross-section in a transversal direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the longitudinal profiles. An open profile allows the first wall element and the second wall element to be relatively well accessible on both sides of the first wall element and the second wall element along the complete length of the longitudinal profile for connecting the connection elements thereby allowing to realize a trampoline frame in a relative short time period.
The modular trampoline frame according to the present disclosure relies at least partly on the insight that by providing a modular frame for a single trampoline bed a relative large trampoline system can be realised by providing a plurality of said modular trampoline frames. Known trampoline systems are designed as a single frame provided with multiple trampoline beds. Instead, the trampoline frame of the present disclosure allows to take a modular approach to designing trampolines and trampoline support systems by combining several modular trampoline frames.
It is advantageous if said longitudinal profiles have an L-shaped cross-section in said transversal direction, preferably wherein said first wall element and said second wall element have substantially the same dimensions. An L-shaped cross-section is beneficial for allowing a relative practical coupling of the longitudinal profiles to the connection elements to realize a trampoline frame in a relative short time period. Moreover, an L-shape profile allows the connection elements to have a relative low complexity since the first wall element and the second wall element are directly accessible along the length of said longitudinal profiles. This allows for the connection elements to be connected to the longitudinal profiles in a relative practical manner thereby allowing to realize a trampoline in a relative short time period.
In an embodiment of the modular trampoline frame a second longitudinal side of said first wall element forms an inner dimension of said frame, wherein said second longitudinal side of said first wall element is a side of said first wall element opposite said first longitudinal side. The first wall element forming an inner dimension of the frame is beneficial for realizing a relative strong modular frame while realising a relative large area for a trampoline bed having a relative large jump surface in a relative short time period.
It is beneficial if said connection elements are arranged to provide a connection between two of said longitudinal profiles, via said connection elements, such that said longitudinal profiles are, relative to each other, in a predetermined spaced apart position. This is beneficial for avoiding the need to modify the longitudinal profiles as would be the case when coupling longitudinal profiles directly to each other under different predetermined positions and thereby allowing to realize a trampoline in a relative short time period. Instead, the longitudinal profiles can be positioned in a predetermined position and coupled to each other via the connection element. By providing connection elements, preferably several predefined connection elements, the longitudinal profiles are positioned in a relative practical way without the need for modification such as bending the longitudinal profiles.
It is advantageous if said connection elements are connected to said longitudinal profiles through further fastening organs, wherein said further fastening organs are fastened under pre-tension for providing stability to said modular trampoline frame By fastening the further fastening organs under pre-tension, preferably a pre-tension in the range of 80 Nm to 120 Nm, a relative stiff modular trampoline frame is obtained. The application of a pre-tension relies at least partly on the insight that friction present between the longitudinal profiles and the connection elements due to the pre-tension of the further fastening organs contributes to the stability of the modular trampoline frame without the need for a form-locking arrangement between the longitudinal profiles and the connection elements. In other words, the connection elements can be placed against the longitudinal profiles without form-locking, thereby allowing for the application of relative less complex connection elements.
Known trampoline frames generally rely on form-locking between connection elements and tubular longitudinal profiles. The tubular profiles may have a transversal cross-section such as a rectangle or square, wherein an outer contour of the connection elements corresponds to an inner contour of the tubular longitudinal profile. By providing the connection elements inside the tubular profiles a form-locking connection may be realised. A drawback of these known trampoline frames is that the required dimensional tolerances of the connection elements and the tubular profiles for realising a relative stable trampoline frame are relatively strict.
In this regard, it is advantageous if the longitudinal profiles are free from mutual contact. This is advantageous for avoiding or at least reducing stress in the frame due to contact of the longitudinal profiles with each other when they are connected to said connection elements and thereby providing a relative durable modular trampoline frame in a relative short time period.
In an embodiment of the modular trampoline frame said connection elements comprise a first connection wall arranged for connection with a second wall element of one of said longitudinal profiles and a second connection wall arranged for connection with a second wall element of another one of said longitudinal profiles. A connection element having such a first connection wall and such a second connection wall is beneficial for directly coupling the connection element to the second wall element forming the outer dimension of the modular trampoline frame in a relative short time period.
Preferably, said first connection wall and said second connection wall are substantially perpendicular to each other. A substantially perpendicular orientation is advantageous for realizing a substantially rectangular module trampoline frame in a relative short time period.
It is beneficial if said connection elements comprise a third connection wall arranged for connection with a first wall element of one of said longitudinal profiles. This is beneficial for realizing a relative strong modular trampoline frame in a relative short time period.
In this regard it is beneficial if said third connection wall encloses an angle in the range of 90- 150 degrees with said first connection wall. This is beneficial for realizing a trampoline support system having an inclined surface in a relative short time period.
Preferably, the third connection wall is connected to the first connection wall and the second connection wall. This is beneficial for realising a relative strong connection element that allows to realize a trampoline in a relative short time period.
In an embodiment of the modular trampoline frame said third connection wall is provided with a receiving organ for receiving a post. Attaching a post is beneficial for realizing a fencing in a practical manner. A fencing may be realized for instance by suspending a net or railing between neighbouring posts, wherein said neighbouring posts are connected to said connection elements via said receiving organs.
In a practical embodiment said connection elements are made from sheet metal. Preferably, the respective connection elements are made from a single piece of sheet metal. Preferably, the neighbouring sides of the connection element are welded together. These embodiments are beneficial for realising relative robust connection elements.
It is advantageous if one of said longitudinal profiles is provided, at the first wall element thereof, with suspending organs for suspending said trampoline bed via said resilient elements for providing said jump surface. This is advantageous for connecting said resilient elements to the longitudinal profiles for suspending the trampoline bed in a relative practical manner allowing to realize a trampoline in a relative short time period.
Preferable, the suspending organs are formed from a elongated piece of metal that is connected to the one of said longitudinal profiles. This is beneficial for realizing a trampoline in a relative short time period since only one piece needs to be connected to the longitudinal profile.
In this regard it is advantageous if the elongated piece of metal is welded to said one of said longitudinal profiles. This is beneficial for realising a relative robust connection between said elongated piece of metal and said one of said longitudinal profiles.
It is beneficial if a centre part of one of said longitudinal profiles is provided with a reinforcing element. A reinforcement element near the centre, in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal profile, is beneficial for realising a relative large stiffness of the longitudinal profile. Such relative high stiffness may be required for longitudinal profiles at the outer perimeter of a trampoline support system, wherein the longitudinal profile of a modular trampoline frame is not coupled to a further longitudinal profile of a further modular trampoline frame.
In a practical embodiment said modular trampoline frame further comprises supporting elements for supporting said modular trampoline frame on a supporting surface, wherein said supporting elements are arranged for connection, via said connection elements, to said longitudinal profiles. This is beneficial for realizing a modular trampoline frame that allows to realize a trampoline in a relative short time period.
In this regard, it is beneficial if said supporting elements are arranged for supporting said longitudinal profiles at a predetermined distance from said supporting surface. This is beneficial for realizing a modular trampoline frame at predetermined height in a relative short time period.
According to the second aspect, the present disclosure relates to a trampoline comprising a modular trampoline frame according to the first aspect of the present disclosure, a trampoline bed and resilient elements, wherein said trampoline bed is connected to said longitudinal profiles via said resilient elements. The advantages of the trampoline are analogue to the modular trampoline frame according to the first aspect of the present disclosure.
According to the third aspect, the present disclosure relates to a trampoline support system comprising a plurality of modular trampoline frames according to the first aspect of the present disclosure, wherein said second wall elements of said modular trampoline frames are placed against each other. The advantages of the trampoline support system are analogue to the modular trampoline frame according to the first aspect of the present disclosure.
In this regard it is advantageous if neighbouring trampoline frames of said trampoline frames are connected with each other through fastening organs provided in said second wall elements, wherein said fastening organs are fastened under pre-tension for providing stability to said trampoline support system. By fastening the fastening organs under pre-tension, preferably a pre-tension in the range of 80 Nm to 120 Nm, a relative stiff trampoline support system is obtained. The application of a pre-tension relies at least partly on the insight that friction present between the longitudinal profiles and the connection elements due to the pre-tension of the fastening organs contributes to the stability of the trampoline support system without the need for a form-locking arrangement between the longitudinal profiles and the connection elements. In other words, the connection elements can be placed against the longitudinal profiles without form-locking thereby allowing for the application of relative less complex connection elements.
Known trampoline support systems generally rely on form-locking between connection elements and tubular longitudinal profiles. The tubular profiles may have a transversal cross-section such as a rectangle or square, wherein an outer contour of the connection elements corresponds to an inner contour of the tubular longitudinal profile. By providing the connection elements inside the tubular profiles a form-locking connection may be realised. A drawback of these known trampoline support systems is that the required dimensional tolerances of the connection elements and the tubular profiles for realising a relative stable trampoline frame are relatively strict.
According to the fourth aspect, the present disclosure relates to a trampoline system comprising a trampoline support system according to the third aspect of the present disclosure, wherein at least two of said plurality of modular trampoline frames are provided with a trampoline bed and resilient elements, wherein said trampoline bed is connected to said longitudinal profiles via said resilient elements. The advantages of the trampoline are analogue to the trampoline support system according to the third aspect of the present disclosure.
The present disclosure will now be explained by means of a description of preferred embodiments of a modular trampoline frame according to the first aspect of the present disclosure, a trampoline according to the second aspect of the present disclosure and a trampoline support system according to the third aspect of the present disclosure, in which reference is made to the following schematic figures, in which:

The remaining through-holes 4 located along the length of the longitudinal profiles 3a are provided for connecting frame 1 to further modular trampoline frames according to the present disclosure for realising a trampoline support system 301 by placing the second wall element 13 of frame 1 against a second wall element of another modular trampoline frame and providing fastening organs in said remaining trough-holes 4. Suitable fastening organs are for instance nuts and bolts. It is however conceivable that other fastening organs can be used.
The longitudinal profiles 3a are further provided with suspending organs 31 for suspending a trampoline bed 5 via resilient elements 7 for providing a jump surface 9. The suspending organs 31 are made of a piece of a bend steel bar that is welded to the longitudinal profiles. The bend steel bar is bend such that hooking loops are provided for hooking said resilient elements 7 with an end thereof to said suspending organs 31.
The longitudinal profile 3b shown in Fig. 12 differs from the longitudinal profile 3a in that profile 3b is provided with a reinforcing element 26 near a centre part of the longitudinal profile 3b. This reinforcing element 26 is beneficial for providing longitudinal profile 3b with a relative high stiffness. The longitudinal profile 3c shown in Fig. 13 differs from the longitudinal profiles 3a and 3b in that longitudinal profile 3c is free from suspending organs.
Connection elements 17a provide a connection between two neighbouring longitudinal profiles 3a and position the longitudinal profiles 3a of a modular trampoline frame 1 in a flat virtual plane. The longitudinal profiles 3a are coupled via one of said connection elements 17a under an angle of substantially 90 degrees. Hereto one of the longitudinal profiles 3a is connected to a first connection wall 21 of one of said connection elements 17a and another of the longitudinal profiles 3a is connected to a second connection wall 23 of said one of said connection elements 17a.
The connection elements 17a are provided with connection throughholes 8 for receiving further fastening organs for fastening the longitudinal profiles 3a to the connection elements 17a. The connection elements 17a are designed such that, after fastening the longitudinal profiles 3a to the connection elements 17a, the longitudinal profiles 3a are spaced apart.
A third connection wall 25 is provided between said first connection wall 21 and said second connection wall 23. The third connection wall 25 of connection element 17a is arranged to connect to the longitudinal profiles 3a connected to the connection element 17a by bearing against the first wall element 11 of the longitudinal profiles 3a.
The first connection wall 21 and second connection wall 23 are further provided with further connection through-holes 10 for connecting a supporting element 33a, 33b to the connection element 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d for supporting the modular trampoline frame 1 on a supporting surface (not shown). The supporting element 33b shown in Fig. 10 differs mainly from the supporting element 33a shown in Fig. 9 in that supporting element 33b is longer than supporting element 33a for providing a modular trampoline frame having a relative large height.
Connection element 17a, like the connection elements 17b, 17c, 17d, 17e and 17f shown in figure 4 - 8 is made from sheet metal. Connection element 17b differs from connection element 17a in that the third connection wall 25 of the connection element 17b is provided with a receiving organ 29. Receiving organ 29 is provided as an axle body for receiving a post (not shown) for attaching a fencing such as a wire net to the trampoline frame. Connection elements 17c and 17d are provided with attachment arrangements 27 for attaching resilient elements 7 to the connection elements 17c and 17d. The attachment arrangements 27 are formed by attaching a bar 30 to the first connection wall 21 and the third connection wall 25 and by providing the first connection wall 21 and the third connection wall 25 with attachment openings 32. The resilient elements 7 may be hooked with an end thereof over said bar 30 in said attachment opening 32.
Modular trampoline frame 101 differs mainly from frame 1 in that two longitudinal profiles 3a are provided in a first direction X of the modular trampoline frame 101 for providing a relative large modular trampoline frame 101. These two longitudinal profiles 3a, extending in direction X, are coupled to each other via supporting elements 33a, wherein said supporting elements 33a are attached to each other via nuts and bolts (not shown) provided in through-holes 12 provided in the supporting elements 33a. The longitudinal profiles 3a extending in direction X are attached to the connection elements 17c via further fastening organs provided in through-holes 8 of the connection elements 17c and in through-holes 6 of the longitudinal profiles 3a. The connection elements 17c are further connected to the supporting element 33a by providing a bolt in through-holes 10 of the connection element 17c and in through-holes 12 of the supporting element 33a, 33b and fastening the bolt via a nut provided on the bolt.
For providing an improved stability, the supporting elements 33a attached to the connection elements 17c are, at a side of the supporting elements 33a opposite of said connection element 17c coupled to the longitudinal profile 3a coupled to a longitudinal profile 3c via a further connection element 17c. The longitudinal profiles 3c may be mutually coupled by nuts and bolts using the through-holes 6 and remaining through-holes 4 provided in the longitudinal profiles 3c. It is conceivable that the neighbouring supporting elements provided at the corners of a modular trampoline frame are mutually coupled via connection elements and longitudinal profiles.
Trampoline 201, shown in figure 14, comprises a modular trampoline frame 1, a trampoline bed 5 and resilient elements 7. The trampoline bed 5 is connected to the longitudinal profiles 3 via the resilient elements 7.
