Abstract

The invention comprises a drinking can with an integrated manual pumping mechanism which enables a user of the can to cool down the liquid content, such as soft drink or beer, of the can to a lower temperature, preferably to a temperature which may be considered as pleasant. By applying purely manual power and the use of evaporative cooling technology, the user is independent of other energy sources besides him or herself. Therefor there is no need for an external or external power supply, motors, electrically powered pumps etcetera. Besides the advantage of a reliable, sustainable, effective and efficient solution, this also caters for a cost-efficient solution. The can is furthermore lightweight, may be designed in a very compact way and still allows a relatively large volume of liquid.
